Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh Admitted To AIIMS, Condition Stable
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh was admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi on Thursday due to complaints of back pain. He is currently under observation in the neuro department of the hospital and is reported to be stable.
The AIIMS public relations officer stated that further updates on the minister's health will be provided by the neuro department. Dr. Rima Dada, in charge of the AIIMS media cell, informed PTI that Singh, aged 73, underwent tests upon admission early in the morning and is now in the Old Private Ward.

A former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and national president of the BJP, Rajnath Singh celebrated his 73rd birthday on July 10. On this occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended birthday wishes, acknowledging Singh's ascent in public life through dedication and service.
In his message, PM Modi praised Singh as a valued Cabinet colleague, respected for his wisdom and commitment to national service. He highlighted Singh's pivotal role in enhancing India's defence capabilities and promoting self-reliance in the sector. PM Modi expressed prayers for Singh's continued good health and longevity.
Rajnath Singh's political career began with the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, the RSS student wing, before progressing through the BJP's youth wing to his current position representing Lucknow in the Lok Sabha.
