Uddhav Thackeray's Alternate Plans On January 22 Amid Missing Ram Mandir Invitation
Former Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, not having received an invitation for the 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony of Ram Mandir set for January 22, has outlined his plans for the day.
Thackeray expressed his intention to visit the Kalaram Temple in Nashik with party workers and conduct a 'Maha Aarti' on the banks of the Godavari river.

Stating his stance earlier, Thackeray remarked, "I haven't received an invitation yet, and I believe none is necessary to visit Ayodhya as Ram Lalla belongs to everyone. Whenever I feel the need, I will go. Shiv Sena significantly contributed to the Ram temple movement."
Highlighting the significance of the day, Thackeray outlined their schedule, "The consecration of the Ayodhya Ram temple is a moment of pride and self-respect. On January 22, we plan to visit the Kalaram temple at 6:30 pm, where Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar and Sane Guruji protested. Subsequently, at 7:30 pm, a 'maha aarti' will be conducted at the Godavari river banks."
The Kalaram Temple, situated in Nashik's Panchavati area, venerates Lord Ram, with its name derived from the black stone idol of Lord Ram. It is believed that Lord Ram, along with Sita and Laxman, dwelled in Panchavati during their exile.
In 1930, Dr. Ambedkar led a protest at the Kalaram Temple, advocating for the entry of Dalits into the premises.
The consecration ceremony for the Ram temple in Ayodhya is scheduled for January 22.
