Uddhav Thackeray Meets Ajit Pawar A Day After Opposition Meet
Shiv Sena (UBT) leader and former Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Wednesday met Maharashtra Deputy CM Ajit Pawar in Mumbai.
Talking about the meeting, Uddhav said that he told Ajit Pawar to focus on the welfare of the state and address the diverse challenges confronted by farmers and the public. He said, "I met Ajit Pawar and congratulated him, and I hope he will do the right work for the people. I have worked with him in 2019 as well and I know his style of work,"

The meeting comes a day after the Opposition parties met in Bengaluru to chalk out a strategy to take on the BJP in the 2024 Lok Sabha polls.
Also, this is the first formal between Thackeray and Pawar after the latter split the NCP, last month, by joining hands with the NDA.
"I am confident that people of the state will get aid because he has the keys to the treasury," Thackeray added.
