Uber rape: Another woman had registered complaint against driver
New Delhi, Dec 10: The rape case registered against the driver was not the first one. Another young woman Nidhi Shah claims that she had already registered a complaint against the very same driver on a different occasion, but the Uber officials were idle. All they did were send a mail with regret.
She further added,"I've faced this problem with Uber only in India. I decided to file a complaint with Uber because he was making me uncomfortable through out the trip."

She said that the driver kept staring at her from the rear-view window and was constantly switching off the GPS in the car.
The accused has been booked in several other occasions for various offences, which include sexual assault case, two molestation cases and an Arms Act case registered against him between 2006 and 2013. In 2011, he spent 7 months in Tihar jail in another rape case in Delhi, but was latter acquitted.
