Three soldiers killed, two rescued after multiple avalanches in Batalik Sector
Multiple avalanches took place in Ladakh following unseasonal snowfall.
Three soldier lost their lives after multiple avalanches hit Batalik sector in Ladakh region of Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday. Army officials said that two soldiers have been rescued so far.

Since Tuesday, fresh snowfall triggered multiple avalanches, one of which buried an Army post in Batalik with five soldiers inside.
A high-danger avalanche warning has been issued for Kargil district and a medium-danger warning for districts of north Kashmir following heavy rainfall and snow in the region on Thursday.
Earlier, this January as many as 20 army personnel lost their lives in three separate incidents of avalanches in Sonamarg area of Ganderbal, Gurez in Bandipora and Machhil in Kupwara districts
