Two Assam Rifles jawans killed in IED blast in Chandel district of Manipur
Two Assam Rifles jawans were killed in an IED explosion during patrolling near Manipur's Chandel district, on Monday morning.

The powerful IED exploded during the morning hours.
A similar attack was carried out against Assam Rifles on 15 June in which one jawan was killed and four others were injured. A banned terror outfit called Revolutionary People's Front (RPF) had claimed the responsibility of the attack.
The outfit claimed to have carried out improvised explosive device (IED) blast at Kashung village in Ukhrul district, a statement issued by the outfit had claimed.
There has been increase in incidents of IED blasts and ambush on security forces in Manipur since last few months.
