Saayoni's reported shift comes on the same day that Rajya Sabha MP Sushmita Dev resigned from both the party and the Upper House.

Sources said Dev met Vice President and Rajya Sabha Chairman C P Radhakrishnan and submitted her resignation around 1 pm. Her departure followed the resignation of former Rajya Sabha MP Sukhendu Sekhar Roy earlier this week, further fuelling speculation about widening cracks within the party.

The back-to-back exits have heightened concerns within the TMC about a potential exodus of senior leaders and MPs.

Kakoli Dastidar's Camp Continues to Expand

The latest developments come days after Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar claimed that nearly 20 Trinamool Congress MPs had expressed interest in aligning with the National Democratic Alliance (NDA).
