Temple demolition: Violent mob beats policemen, sets vehicle afire in Bihar
Patna, Jan 27: Five police officials got injured in Vashali district of Bihar after mob turned violent on Tuesday. Reportedly, villagers were opposing local administration's move to demolish a temple in the area.
Agitators clashed with police officials and also beat them. Sources says that temple was constructed on unauthorized place and High Court had ordered to demolish it.

It is being said the incident took place when police officers and constables reached the spot to demolish the construction. It is being said that people were already gathered there to attack police officials.
The moment they started demolishing the temple, gathered mob started pelting stones on policemen leaving them injured. Policemen later rushed to Hajipur Sadar Hospital. Boiling with anger, mob also set their vehicles on fire.
When asked why they were opposing the move of the Court, the protectors said that the land on which temple stands is private land and it can't be demolished. According to latest report, tension still prevails in the area.
