Telangana Government Sets Ambitious Growth Targets Comparable to Japan and China by 2047

Telangana's Chief Minister, A Revanth Reddy, announced the state's ambition to match the economic growth of China and Japan. During a meeting with ministers and officials, Reddy discussed the TelanganaRising 2047 vision. This document aims to guide the state towards becoming a USD one trillion economy by 2034 and a USD three trillion economy by 2047.

The Telangana government is preparing for the TelanganaRising Global Summit on December 8 and 9. The event will be held in the proposed Future City area near Hyderabad. Invitations will be sent to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, union ministers, leading industrialists, and international figures. The summit aims to attract investments and highlight Telangana's achievements over the past two years.

Economic Vision for Telangana

Reddy emphasised that the vision document should accurately reflect Telangana's growth aspirations. The state's economic strategy will focus on three regions: CURE (Core Urban Region Economy), PURE (Peri-Urban Region Economy), and RARE (Rural Agriculture Region Economy). This approach aims for comprehensive development and improved livelihood opportunities for youth.

The government plans to develop Bharat Future City on Hyderabad's outskirts to boost progress. The upcoming summit will showcase investment opportunities in Telangana to global investors. The state seeks to position itself as a rapidly growing economic hub in India, competing with global economies rather than neighbouring states.

Summit Highlights and Vision Document

The two-day summit will highlight welfare and development programmes launched by the government. On December 9, the TelanganaRising 2047 vision document will be released, outlining the state's future plans. This document is crucial for informing the world about Telangana's potential despite its small size.

Revanth Reddy instructed officials on November 22 to ensure grand arrangements for the summit at the Future City site. He stressed that this event should mark the successful completion of two years under the Congress government. The summit aims to demonstrate Telangana's progress and future ambitions.

The official release noted that the vision document's objective is to make Telangana India's fastest-growing economic hub. The state government is committed to showcasing its vast opportunities on a global stage, aiming for significant growth by 2047.
