Suspected Pakistani Spy Sahdev Gohil Arrested Near Kutch Border By Gujarat ATS

Sahdev Singh Gohil, a suspected Pakistani spy, was apprehended by the Gujarat Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) close to the Kutch border in a significant event. According to ATS officials, Gohil, a health worker in Dayapar, Kutch, is accused of engaging in espionage activities on behalf of Pakistan.

According to investigations, Gohil had been in touch with a woman known as Aditi Bhardwaj, who is thought to be a spy from Pakistan. Gohil allegedly sent Pakistan classified information about the Indian Navy and the Border Security Force (BSF) while acting under her orders. It is alleged that Gohil was paid Rs 40,000 in return for this secret information.

Nevertheless, new information indicates that Aditi Bhardwaj's persona might have been made up, most likely as a fictitious handler from Pakistan who wanted to communicate with Gohil in secret. It has been found that Gohil had been communicating with this handler on a regular basis for around a year.

Gohil's cell phone was confiscated by the ATS and transported to the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) for a thorough examination. The scope of Pakistan's intelligence network has alarmed officials, who have pointed out that even local medical personnel seem to be inside its sphere of influence. The Gujarat ATS is still looking into the matter and trying to find more people who might have been involved in the spy operation.

BSF Neutralizes Pakistani Intruder in Gujarat

In a different instance, the Border Security Force (BSF) in Gujarat's Banaskantha district successfully stopped an attempt at infiltration along the India-Pakistan border. The attempt took place on the evening of May 23. As someone crossed the international boundary and approached the border fence, alert soldiers saw suspicious movement, the BSF Gujarat Frontier said in a statement.

The intruder disregarded warnings and persisted on his advance in spite of being confronted by BSF troops. In retaliation, the BSF fired, instantly eliminating the intruder. The BSF has reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining national security and guarding the country's borders.

Both incidents have heightened security concerns along the western border, prompting intensified surveillance and counter-espionage efforts by Indian authorities.
