Sonam Should Be Hanged If Found Guilty: Her Brother Govind After Meeting Raja Raghuvanshi Family

In a major development, brother of Sonam Raghuvanshi, accused in the murder of her husband Raja Raghuvanshi, Govind met the grieving family on Wednesday. He offered his condolences and expressed strong condemnation of his sister.

What Sonam's Brother Says?

Speaking to the reporters after his visit, Govind said, "She (Sonam) has not confessed yet that she has committed the murder, but considering the evidence, I am sure that she has planned the murder. I have apologised to Raja's family. This family has lost their son... If Sonam is guilty, then she should be hanged. I am getting to know everything through media only," says Sonam Raghuvanshi's brother.

Govind also addressed Sonam's rumoured boyfriend and co-accused, Raj Kushwaha, revealing a shocking twist: "Raj Kushwaha used to call Sonam 'didi' (sister). Sonam had been tying rakhi to him for the past three years. She used to tie rakhi to both me and him." This statement comes amidst reports that Sonam had an affair with Kushwaha, which is being considered a possible motive for Raja's murder.

On his visit to her home, Raja Raghuvanshi's mother, Uma, said that Govind expressed his pain over the incident.

Raja Raghuvanshi's Reaction

"Govind said that Sonam should be hanged. He is pained for Raja, not Sonam... Govind is not at fault," she stated. Uma also recounted asking Govind if he had met Sonam. He confirmed a brief three-minute meeting and explained he couldn't confront her due to the presence of media and police.

Govind reiterated his stance, affirming his support for Raja's family. "I don't know whether she admitted to the crime or not. I stand with Raja Raghuvanshi, and I will fight this battle for him," he declared. He further revealed that his parents, after learning the truth, have also decided to boycott Sonam. "We will make sure that Sonam is punished, and we will appoint a lawyer to take legal action against her."

Sonam and Raja Raghuvanshi tied the knot on May 11. They left for their honeymoon on May 20 in Meghalaya. As per the reports, she and three others - Akash Rajput (19), Vishal Singh Chauhan (22), and Raj Singh Kushwaha (21) - are involved in the murder.
