Sheena Bora Murder: Why CBI grilled Indrani Mukerjea's daughter Vidhie, Peter's son Rahul, yet again

Mumbai, Oct 19: Investigative agency Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) grilled Vidhie and Rahul Mukerjea once again in connection with Sheena Bora murder case.

Vidhie and Rahul are Indrani's daughter and step-son respectively. The duo earlier were interrogated when Mumbai Police summoned them to probe the sensational murder case.

Now, it has been reported that CBI wanted Vidhie and Rahul to identify the emails and messages which Indrani allegedly had sent using a fake email impersonating as Sheena.

It was claimed that Indrani, after killing Sheena, allegedly had asked one of her employees to create a mail id for Sheena as she had faced difficulties in US.

Later Indrani allegedly had taken the mail id and password and sent mails to Vidhie, Peter Mukerjea and Mikhail.

After grilling Vidhie and Rahul once again, CBI officers were quoted as saying, "From the preliminary interrogation of Indrani and the other two accused it looks like Indrani wanted to kill Sheena and Mekhail after the two started blackmailing her and threatening to expose their real relationship with her in the social circuits in which Indrani used to move around. Indrani used to introduce them as her younger siblings when the two in reality were her own children."

Sheena and Mikhail were Indrani's children from her first marriage with Siddharth Das. Vidhie is Indrani's daughter from her second marriage with Sanjeev Khanna.

Indrani got married to Peter Mukerjea, the former CEO of Star India, in 2002. However, she did not disclose any information regarding her first marriage and introduced Sheena and Mikhail as her siblings.

Peter Mukerjea later adopted Vidhie. Sheena, however, fell in love with Peter Mukerjea's son Rahul Mukerjea and the duo planned to get married by the end of 2012.

Indrani reportedly was not happy with the relationship between Sheena and Rahul. She along with her former husband Sanjeev and driver Shyam Rai allegedly killed Sheena.

The three accused disposed of Sheena's body in a jungle near Mumbai. Indrani told everyone that Sheena had gone to US for higher studies.

Three years after the incident, Mumbai Police arrested the three accused after getting crucial information from secret sources. Later the investigation was handed over to CBI.
