Setback for Akhilesh Yadav: Poll survey says BSP to get 185 seats in UP elections

Lucknow, Mar 17: This will definitely give a big shock to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav who is trying his best to repeat his success mantra in next year Assembly poll in the state.

A poll survey says that Mayawati led BSP will come to power in Uttar Pradesh, if state election is to be held at the moment.

UP: BSP to get 185 seats, says survey

The opinion poll which was conducted by ABP news predicted that Mayawati party will get 185 seats, more that double of its 2012 tally.

Survey said that Akhilesh led SP will be able to manage only 80 seats in 403-member Assembly.

In 2012 state election, SP had got 228 seats while BSP managed only 80 seats.

In the survey, people were asked series of questions related to polls including what will be the issues in the election and who is the best choice for the CM candidate.

BSP chief Mayawati emerged as best choice of CM candidate with 31 percent votes followed by Akhilesh Yadav (30%) and Rajnath Singh (18%).

Prime Minister Narendra Modi got maximum votes as most popular leader in Uttar Pradesh.

People said that unemployment, inflation, corruption and poverty will be top issues in coming election in the state.
