Senior RSS worker shot dead by unidentified miscreants in Ludhiana

A senior Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) leader in Ludhiana was shot dead on Tuesday morning. The deceased identified as Ravinder Gosai was shot at by unidentified miscreants while on his morning walk, according to local reports.

Bikeborne miscreants opened fire at Gosai, a senior citizen and a volunteer with the RSS near his residence in Ludhiana's Kailash Nagar, according to initial reports.

Two assailants shot at the RSS leader in his neck and his back shortly after he stepped out of his house with his dog for a walk. According to local reports, Gosai died on the spot while the assailants fled the spot.

Gosai was the chief of Raghunath Nagar Mohan Shakha of RSS in Ludhiana. He was also an office bearer in the regional BJP unit. The police have registered a case and an investigation is underway. Motive of the assassination is still unclear.
