The security forces on Thursday conducted an operation in Chhattisgarh in which two Naxals were killed and around 15-20 were injured. Arms and ammunition were also recovered.
"DRG and STF teams conducted an operation in which body of 2 naxals have been recovered and 15-20 naxals were injured. 1 AK-47, 1 SLR, 6 grenades and paraphernalia recovered," DG Anti-naxal Operations, DM Awasthi, told ANI.
Yesterday (May 2), two police jawans were killed in an attack by naxals in Gariaband district in Chhattisgarh, police said. The naxals first triggered an improvised explosive device (IED) and then opened fire in a forest area under Mainpur police station around 2.30 pm, when a team of District Force was on a search operation.
