Revenge: Andhra Woman Kills Ex-lover for Son's Murder

In a horrifying tale of vengeance, an Andhra Pradesh woman has taken matters into her own hands by killing the man accused of brutally murdering her son a year and a half ago. The chilling incident unfolded on Tuesday night, with the woman ultimately surrendering to the authorities the following morning.

Identified as Jaan Bi, a single mother residing in Narasaraopet, Palnadu district, Andhra Pradesh, she had been laboring alongside her two sons to make ends meet. Tragically, her husband, Shabbir, had passed away 15 years ago.

During this time, Jaan Bi was involved in a relationship with a local rowdy figure named Sheik Baji, aged 36. When her elder son discovered their connection, he warned Sheik Baji to stay away from their household. Enraged by the admonition, Sheik Baji, aided by three accomplices, brutally killed Jaan Bi's elder son by slitting his throat in August 2021.

Seeking retribution, Jaan Bi, along with her brother Hussian and younger son, exacted their revenge by killing the main accused, Kasam, at the Cinema Hall Junction in Narasaraopet in December 2021. Kasam was intoxicated at the time of the attack. Jaan Bi promptly surrendered to the police, but she was later released on bail.

Having concocted a plan to eliminate the second accused, Baji, Jaan Bi, after securing his phone number through acquaintances, skillfully lured him into a trap. Over a span of four days, she called Baji regularly, eventually convincing him that she had let go of their past animosity and desired a live-in relationship.

On Tuesday night, Jaan Bi invited Baji to her brother's birthday celebration. There, in collaboration with her brother Hussian, Gopikrishna, and Harish, they carried out their plan to kill Baji. Exploiting his inebriation, they assaulted Baji with knives, ending his life. In an attempt to dispose of the evidence, they tried to burn the body using petrol. However, as the body was only partially burnt, they resorted to burying it in a pit.

The following morning, the group voluntarily presented themselves at the police station, confessing to the murder. Law enforcement officials took them into custody, and further investigations are underway. Narasaraopet (rural) Circle Inspector Bhaktavatsala Reddy and Sub-Inspector Balanagi Reddy swiftly responded to the scene, recovering Baji's lifeless body. The police have registered a case and continue their inquiry into the matter.

The deceased, Sheik Baji, is survived by his wife Mobina, a daughter, and two sons.
