Real Estate Tycoon Sanjeev Jain Arrested After Dramatic Police Chase At Delhi Airport; Read Case Against Him

Sanjeev Jain, Managing Director and CEO of Parsvnath Developers Pvt Ltd, was apprehended by a Special Task Force (STF) team the Delhi police at IGI Airport. The arrest followed a 60-kilometre chase and occurred on Saturday, August 3.

A non-bailable had been issued against Jain the Joint Registrar of the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (CDRC), Delhi. This warrant was related to Execution Application No. 83 of 2022 in consumer complaint No. 2489 of 2017, filed by Rajat Babbar and another party against Ms Parshwanath Developers Pvt Ltd on July 18.

Pending Warrants Against Sanjeev Jain

Jain failed to appear before the commission despite the issuance of the warrant. Consequently, four non-bailable warrants and one bailable warrant from the National Commission were pending against him at Shahdara police station.

Following his arrest, Jain was presented before the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission on August 4. His arrest has now addressed all the outstanding non-bailable warrants against him.
