Rajit Gupta IIT JEE Advanced 2025 Topper: Meet All India Rank 1 Topper Who Scored 332 Marks

On June 2, 2025, IIT Kanpur released the much-awaited results of the JEE Advanced 2025 exam, one of India's toughest engineering entrance tests. Out of 1,80,422 students who appeared for the exam on May 18, a total of 54,378 qualified for admission to the prestigious Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).

Rajit Gupta Secures the Top Spot

Rajit Gupta from the IIT Delhi zone grabbed the top rank in the Common Rank List (CRL) with an outstanding score of 332 out of 360. Sharing the top score was Saksham Jindal, also from IIT Delhi, making it a proud moment for the zone.

Female Candidates Shine Bright

Devdutta Majhi from the IIT Kharagpur zone was the highest-ranking female candidate, securing Rank 16 with 312 marks. Her achievement highlights the growing presence and success of women in engineering fields across India.

According to a press release by the organising chairperson of JEE (Advanced) 2025, a total of 54,378 candidates have qualified this year. Among them, 9,404 are female, while 44,974 are male.

In terms of category-wise break-up, 17,511 candidates qualified in the General category, followed by 6,500 from the General-EWS category, 12,822 OBC-NCL, 12,528 SC, and 5,017 ST candidates.

Understanding the Cutoffs

To be eligible for ranking, candidates had to meet minimum marks in each subject and overall:

Common Rank List: Minimum 74 marks (at least 7 per subject)

OBC-NCL/GEN-EWS: Minimum 66 marks

SC/ST/PwD: Minimum 37 marks (at least 3 per subject)

Preparatory Course: Minimum 18 marks

These cutoffs ensure that only well-prepared students make it to the merit list.
