Rajinikanth meets BJP leaders, party deems it 'apolitical'
Earlier this year, the Tamil Superstar hinted at a political entry during interactions with his fans
Tamil superstar Rajinikanth met leaders of the BJP fuelling speculations of his support to Narendra Modi's party once again. Photos that emerged on Monday showed the actor in conversation with BJP Yuva Morcha's National President Poonam Mahajan.

The meeting is said to have taken at Rajinikanth's residence on Sunday. However, the BJP maintained that the meeting was apolitical. This is not the first time that BJP leaders have met the actor after he expressed his intentions over taking the political plunge. BJP's candidate for the now countermanded R KNagar bypoll, Gangaiamaran had created a storm after he posted pictures with Rajinikanth ahead of the elections.
The actor's meeting with members of the Hindu Makkal Katchi, a pro-right wing organisation had also garnered some spotlight. Entry of Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan to Tamil Nadu politics has been the centre point of many debates over the last few months. Kamal Haasan jumped into the fray after Rajinikanth asked his fans to 'prepare for the war ahead' and indicated that he may make a political entry.
Both the stars have been invited by the DMK for a party event. Their participation in the same will mark the first appearance on the political front.
