Rajasthan Minister Madan Dilawar Takes Action Against Clerk for Bribery Allegations
Rajasthan's minister, Madan Dilawar, has ordered the swift removal of a clerk working on contract for the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) in Kota. The clerk was accused of soliciting a bribe to process a compensation package. This decision was made during a government outreach event, Sarkar Apke Dwar, held in Chechat, Kota district.

While attending this event, Dilawar also addressed another bribery allegation involving a former village head. The ex-sarpanch was accused of demanding money from a temple priest. However, the priest later retracted his accusation after reaching an agreement with the former village leader.
Allegations and Actions
During his visit to his constituency in Ramganjmandi, Dilawar participated in various activities, including addressing public grievances at the Sarkar Apke Dwar camp. At this camp, Shiv Mali and Kailash Mali reported that their land was acquired for the Mumbai-Delhi Expressway project. They claimed they were promised Rs 1.70 lakh per bigha but faced demands for a 10% commission from Sanjay Jain, a clerk at the sub-divisional office.
In response to these allegations, Dilawar instructed Sub-Divisional Officer Neeta Vasita to remove the clerk from his position immediately. The SDO assured that the clerk, employed on contract by NHAI, would be dismissed that day itself.
Temple Priest's Complaint
In another incident, Ramkumar Das, a priest at Ghatoli village's Hanuman temple, accused Dinesh Tiwari, a former sarpanch, of demanding Rs 2 lakh to permit him to operate his cow shelter. Following Dilawar's directive to the Chechat police station's SHO to take action against Tiwari, Das withdrew his complaint after negotiating with Tiwari in the presence of police officers.
Dilawar holds portfolios for school education and panchayati raj. His visit aimed to address local issues and grievances directly with constituents. The minister's actions reflect efforts to tackle corruption and ensure fair treatment for citizens involved in government projects.
The swift response by authorities highlights ongoing efforts to maintain transparency and accountability within government operations. By addressing these complaints promptly, officials aim to foster trust and integrity in public service delivery.
