Rajasthan Exit Poll Results: As Cong Hopes To Break Tradition, BJP Eyes A Comeback

Rajasthan, which has alternated between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Congress in the last five assembly elections, seems like continuing the same trend as BJP is set to return to power, as per the exit polls.

Five out of six exit polls indicate a comfortable victory for the BJP. Among all the opinion polls, the most substantial endorsement for Prime Minister Narendra Modi comes from Times Now-ETG, projecting 108-128 seats for the BJP, with a maximum of 72 seats predicted for the Congress and its allies.

Among the various exit polls, Jan Ki Baat, P-Marq, and TV9 Bharatvarsh-Polstrat have all indicated that the BJP will secure a minimum of 100 seats, with the first two suggesting an upper limit of over 120 seats for the saffron party.

The Congress may find a glimmer of hope in only two exit polls, namely India Today-My Axis and Dainik Bhaskar. The former predicts the BJP securing between 80 and 100 seats, while the latter predicts a range of 98 to 105 seats for the BJP.

Of the two, it is India Today that provides a more optimistic scenario for the Congress, suggesting that the party could secure over 101 seats, with a maximum of 106.

Rajasthan has 200 seats out of which polls for 199 seats were held in a single phase on November 25. As Congress MLA Gurmeet Koonar from Karanpur passed away, voting was not held. However, the majority mark is 101 seats.
