Rahul Gandhi on hit list of terrorists: Security agencies
The Indian security agencies has instructed to beef up the security of the Gandhi scion.
Two days before, while addressing a rally at Churu in Rajasthan, Rahul had said, "They killed my grandmother (Indira Gandhi) and my father (Rahul Gandhi) and they might kill me too, but I am not afraid."
According to ET report, young Gandhi's life is constantly in danger and it was at risk in November 2007, when Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) head Maulana Masood Azhar's younger brother Ibrahim Athar, one of the hijackers of IC 814, revealed a plot to kidnap Gandhi.
The security agencies has instructed to beef up the security of Rahul Gandhi.
"Three militants, Mohammed Abid, Yusuf and Mirza Rashid were trained by Jaish in Sialkot. While Gandhi was the main target, the other two politicians on the list were ex-PM AB Vajpayee and then Leader of Opposition LK Advani," said a source.
"UP police arrested the militants and foiled the plot," he added.
According to the latest inputs from the IB, the terror outfit JeM is once again planning to target Rahul Gandhi. The IB agency even claims that JeM is also imparting 'training' to terrorists in this connection.
It should also be noted that before becoming a known-face in the world of Indian politics, Rahul Gandhi was living with concealed identity of Raul Vinci, after the assassination of his father and the then prime minister Rajiv Gandhi.
