Punjab Diwali Bumper Lottery: Rajasthan Man Wins ₹11 Crore, Vows to Fund Friend’s Daughters’ Future
A man from Rajasthan's Kotputli village in Jaipur district has become an overnight millionaire after winning a staggering ₹11 crore in the Punjab government's Diwali bumper lottery. What makes the story even more remarkable is that he bought the ticket after borrowing ₹1,000 from a friend.
Amit Sehara, who describes himself as a devotee of Lord Hanuman, said his life has changed completely. "I can't express my happiness. I thank the Punjab government and the lottery agency. All my grief and sorrows have vanished today," he told ANI.

Sehara shared that he and his friend had visited Moga in Punjab when he decided to buy two tickets-one for himself and another for his wife. "My wife's ticket won ₹1,000, and mine won ₹11 crore," he said with a smile.
How He Plans to Use the Money
After winning the massive prize, Sehara revealed that he plans to use the money for his children's education and to build a house. He also intends to share his fortune with his friend's family.
"I have lost my mother, so I understand the pain of daughters. I will give ₹50 lakh each to my friend's two daughters. The rest will go towards my children's education and building a house," he added.
Official Confirmation
A representative from the lottery agency confirmed that Sehara had won the first prize in the Diwali bumper draw. "Today, the winner of the ₹11 crore Diwali bumper, Amit Shera, came to our office to submit the claim form. He bought the ticket from Bathinda. Once verified, the amount will be transferred to his bank account," the official said.
The spokesperson clarified that winners do not need to pay any money to submit the claim. "They just have to provide their bank details, address, and the original ticket. The Punjab government directly processes the payment," the agency stated.
