Pratyusha Banerjee death twist: Rahul Raj Singh has crime records

Mumbai, April 7: In a shocking twist to Pratyusha Banerjee suicide case, it has come to light that her boyfriend Rahul Raj Singh has criminal records of duping money and cheating. Three women, Heer Patel and Kesha Khambhati, have said that Rahul has duped them off lakhs of rupees.

As Rahul continues to recuperate in hospital for the third day, many women who have fallen prey to his charms have come up with their stories.

Revealing his modus operandi, the women said that he chose a potential victim, befriended them, offered them work in the industry, after showing fake love. Heer Patel, for instance, was charmed by the camoulaged personality of Rahul. But when he borrowed Rs 25 lakh from her and did not return, she knew the true story.

"After a few months, Rahul told me that he is working on a movie and wanted me to invest `25lakh. I trusted him and transferred the amount on December 20, 2010. Six months passed... When I asked him to return the money, he just said, 'do whatever you want, I won't give it back'," Heer Patel said, showing the documents of agreement and bank statements of money transferred to Rahul's account, Heer narrated how she tried to get back her money, but all efforts went in vain.

Kesha Khambhati , who met Rahul during a party had a similar narration. Rahul took Rs 2.5 lakhs from her, giving the excuse of urgency. Even that money was not returned.

Kesha said, "Last year, I filed a complaint against him but nothing happened. Tired of chasing him for my money, I also filed a lawsuit against him at the Andheri court last month. I am waiting for the next hearing in May."
