PM hits out at 'Mahagathbandhan' in farmers' rally in Shahjahanpur
Shahjahanpurm, July 21: In a first public rally after defeating no-confidence motion moved by TDP, Prime Minister Narendra Modi hit out at the idea of a 'Mahagathbandhan, saying 'Chahe cycle ho ya haathi, kisi ko bhi bana lo saathi'.
While addressing a farmers' rally in Shahjahanpur's Roza, PM Modi said, "The priority of central government and Uttar Pradesh govt is to ensure that the hard work of the farmers of this nation is respected. This is the reason several decisions have been taken to benefit sugarcane farmers.'
PM Modi said, "A few days back sugarcane farmers had come to meet me in Delhi, and I had promised them that soon they will get a good news. Today, I am here to fulfil my promise. The government recently decided to give 80 per cent additional profit over the MSP to sugarcane farmers."
PM announced that Government has decided to allow mills to produce ethanol from molasses, sugarcane juice from December 1.
'What the youth from here has contributed in nation-building is an inspiration for youngsters across the nation'.
According to reports, the party workers and farmers of eight districts including from Hardoi, Lakhimpur Kheri, Pilibhit, Sitapur, Bareilly and Badaun have come to attend the rally. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had recently convened the meeting of officials of the eight districts while making preparation for the rally.
