Parrikar inducts 2 former Congressmen in Cabinet
With two more ministers inducted in the cabinet, Manohar Parrikar gives clear instructions on certain things.
Panaji: After the two Congressmen joined BJP recently, the Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar on Wednesday inducted the duo as cabinet ministers.
Mauvin Godinho and Viswajit Rane, the newly appointed ministers were administered the oaths of office by Governor Mridula Sinha.

It may be recalled that Rane resigned from Congress and as MLA on the day of floor test in the state assembly on March 16. Later he joined BJP after a few weeks.
While Mauvin had switched loyalty to BJP before assembly polls in February.
Now the Parrikar cabinet includes five ministers from the BJP including the chief minister, three from the Goa Forward, two from the Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party and two other independents.
Speaking to media corps, the chief minister said that the portfolios to the newly oath taken ministers would be allotted within a week.
The BJP formed a government in Goa after it formed an alliance with the local parties. BJP had won 13 seats. Congress which won 17 seats was hapless to form the government.
Drugs and late night parties:
Earlier in the day, Parrikar said that clear instructions given to the police department to crack down the drug trades, prostitution and illegal gambling business. He said that anyone found involved would be punished as per law.
Earlier on March 22, two days before the budget session in Goa assembly, the chief minister had warned the police and the government employees on few things. Parrikar had asked the police department to crack down the drug trade and late night parties in the state.
Speaking to the media, he said that the police were directed to act strictly on late night parties and the trafficking or sale of drugs in Goa. He also directed the police to take stringent action after investigating cases relating to women. He also asked the police to keep a strict watch on those persons forcing women into prostitution.
