In a shocking turn of events, the family of Lalit Mohan Jha, the alleged mastermind behind the recent Parliament security breach, has expressed shock and disbelief over the incident. Shambhu Jha, Lalit's elder brother, spoke to reporters in Kolkata, stating that the entire family is still struggling to come to terms with the news.

A Calm and Quiet Individual
Shambhu described Lalit as a calm and quiet individual since childhood, known for his introverted nature. He mentioned that Lalit was involved with NGOs and worked as a private tutor, but they were unaware of any activities that could lead to such an incident. Shambhu expressed his surprise at seeing Lalit's images on television channels, as he had always stayed away from trouble.
Last Seen on December 10
Shambhu revealed that the family last saw Lalit on December 10 when they left for their hometown in Bihar. Lalit accompanied them to Sealdah station to see them off, and the next day, he informed them that he was going to New Delhi for some personal work. That was the last time they had any contact with him.
Father's Reaction in Darbhanga
In Darbhanga, Bihar, Lalit's father, Devanand Jha, expressed his disbelief and shock over his son's involvement in the incident. He stated that Lalit had never been involved in any criminal cases in the past and was an excellent student since childhood. Devanand mentioned that the family has been living in Kolkata for the past 50 years but usually visits their ancestral village during Chhath puja. However, this year, they could not make it to the village on time and later boarded a train from Kolkata to Darbhanga on December 10, without Lalit.
Reserved Individual in Burrabazar
Meanwhile, Lalit's neighbors in Burrabazar, Kolkata, were surprised to see his images on news channels. They recalled him as a reserved individual who rarely engaged with the community. Papun Shaw, a tea stall owner in the area, identified Lalit as a teacher who disappeared two years ago. Shaw described him as someone who kept a low profile and hardly interacted with locals, except for occasionally having tea at his stall.
