Over 300 boxes of liquor seized in MP village

Jhabua (MP), July 15: Police today seized 335 boxes of Indian made foreign liquor worth Rs 16 lakh stored illegally in an isolated house in Kalidevi village near here.

Acting on a tip-off, police raided the house and seized the boxes containing the liquor, Jhabua Superintendent of Police (SP) Sanjay Tiwari said.

The raid was conducted late last night and continued into the early hours today, he said. Besides the liquor, few boxes of locally made wine were also recovered.

After necessary investigations, a case will be registered in this regard, he added.
