One Indian Soldier Dead, A Pakistani Killed In Fresh Encounter In J&K
One soldier was killed and four others were injured during an encounter with terrorists along the Line of Control in Kupwara district in Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday.
The Indian Army troops have foiled a Pakistani Border Action Team (BAT) attack on the Line of Control against Indian forces. "The BAT team involved in the attack is suspected to have regular Pakistan Army troops including their SSG commandos who work closely with terrorist organisations," ANI reported citing Defence sources.

It comes a day after 'Kargil Vijay Diwas' where Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave a warning to Pakistan that its nefarious designs in fuelling the proxy war will be crushed with full force.
"Pakistan has not learnt any lessons from its past defeats and has continued to wage war in the garb of terrorism and proxy wars to stay relevant," the PM said.
Meanwhole, the Army, in a statement on X, said there was an exchange of fire with unidentified persons. However, it has not named the Pakistan army or terrorists.
The statement said: "There has been exchange of fire with unidentified personnel on a forward post in Kamkari, Macchal Sector on the line of control. One Pakistani person has been killed while two of our soldiers have suffered injuries and have been evacuated. Operations are in progress."
