On world hearing day, Kolkata police and people to come together to create awareness

An awareness rally will also be held at Deshapriya Park to raise awareness on the hearing health.

In an attempt to create awareness on world hearing day, people of Kolkata, celebrities and the police department are all set to come together on Friday. The world hearing day, which is observed on March 3, will be marked by health camps, awareness campaigns and rallies in the city.

Anwesha Kolkata and Susruti Hearing & Speech Centre jointly have been organising hearing screening camps in the run up to the World Hearing day on March 3.

On Friday, the Kolkata Traffic Police will join hands to extended support to the campaign by providing a tableau for creating awareness among the public on ear care and hearing heath. The Anwesha team along with hearing disabled youngsters will take part in the campaign to educate the public at BBD Bag, Esplanade, Moulali, Mallick Bazar, Exide Crossing, Rashbihari, Deshapriya Park, Gariahat, Jadavpur Police Station, Jadavpur Thana and Garia Crossing between.

Meanwhile, an awareness rally will also be held at Deshapriya Park to raise awareness on the hearing health.

The rally will be flagged off from Deshapriya Park and end at Gariahat Crossing and will be held from 04:00 pm to 06:00 pm. The rally will culminate with a brief programme on ear care and good practices to save hearing loss.

This rally is expected to be the perfect occasion for people to pledge their effort to save hearing loss.
