When questioned why Singh is yet to be arrested, Shah said, "there is no Khalistan wave in Punjab. We are monitoring the situation very closely. None can attack India's unity. His arrest may happen sometime. Earlier he would roam freely, but now he can't carry on with his activities."

The Punjab police had on March 18 launched a huge manhunt for Singh. While many of his associates had been arrested, Singh continues to remain on the run. Several of his aides including mentor, Pabalpreet Singh have been arrested.

On Thursday, the radical preachers's wife, Kirandeep Kaur was stopped from boarding a flight to the United Kingdom. She was questioned by the immigration for nearly three hours and thereafter asked to return. Singh had married Kaur on February 10.

Singh is known for his pro-Khalistan views.

Shah also had said that the Narendra Modi government will not tolerate the attacks on the Indian high commissions.

"We have made the NIA capable that it can carry out a probe if there is any conspiracy on Indian and foreign soil. The Delhi police has registered a case and launched a probe into the attack on the Indian high commission. Based on the report that we have received, a probe has been launched," Shah also said.
