Noida, February 21: In response to the ongoing protests by farmers in Gautam Buddh Nagar against the local Noida and Greater Noida authorities, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has ordered the formation of a committee to address their concerns. This announcement comes ahead of the farmers' groups' threatened foot march to Delhi to press for their demands, following a failed attempt on February 8.

The committee, headed by the chairman of the Uttar Pradesh Revenue Council, will engage in discussions with the protesting farmers and submit a report to the government outlining their concerns. District Magistrate Manish Kumar Verma stated that the divisional commissioner and district magistrate will serve as members of the committee, while the Chief Executive Officers of the Noida Authority and the Greater Noida Authority will provide necessary support.

Time-Bound Report

The committee, formed on the instructions of the Chief Minister, has been tasked with presenting its report to the state government within a specific time frame. The aim is to find a resolution to the farmers' problems and address their demands.

Addressing NTPC-Affected Farmers

In a separate development, to address the demands of farmers affected by the NTPC, Dadri project, a high-level committee of NTPC will engage in discussions with the affected farmers and interested persons. This committee, headed by Director HR NTPC, New Delhi DK Patel, will work towards finding a solution to their concerns.

The formation of these committees demonstrates the Uttar Pradesh government's commitment to addressing the concerns of the protesting farmers in Gautam Buddh Nagar and finding amicable solutions to their demands. The reports and recommendations from these committees are expected to pave the way for resolving the issues and ensuring the well-being of the affected farmers.
