During a high-level video conference with senior officials and district magistrates, Yogi Adityanath reviewed stocks and distribution across all districts. Food and Civil Supplies officials informed that every district currently has adequate fuel. Supplies from oil depots and gas bottling plants are described as normal, with no disruption reported.

Administrative review of LPG petrol diesel supply in Uttar Pradesh amid global tension

The Chief Minister held a detailed review on Tuesday night, citing recent global developments and logistics issues. Officials briefed Yogi Adityanath that, despite pressure on international supply lines, petrol, diesel and LPG availability in Uttar Pradesh remains secure. Yogi Adityanath stressed that fear or panic buying among the public must not be allowed.

Officials said the government is closely watching the impact of the Iran-Israel conflict on fuel logistics. According to the briefing, commercial LPG cylinder deliveries have been halted as a precaution. Some rules for domestic LPG cylinders have also been changed, after several districts reported queues for refills in recent days.

The Chief Minister instructed officials to inspect petrol pumps and gas agencies on the ground instead of relying only on paperwork. Yogi Adityanath said that attempts to create an artificial shortage must be identified early. Yogi Adityanath ordered that strong legal provisions be used wherever necessary.

The Chief Minister asked district administrations and police units to work in close coordination. Divisional commissioners, district magistrates and police chiefs were told to track local fuel stocks and movements. Any complaint of shortage from a specific area must trigger immediate alternative arrangements, including diversion of supplies if required.

Senior police officials, including Additional Directors General of Police (Zones), Police Commissioners and Senior Superintendents of Police, attended the review. Yogi Adityanath told officials to ensure petrol pumps do not witness long queues. Law and order at fuel stations must stay normal while ensuring regular supply to consumers.

State authorities are therefore presenting a clear message that fuel stocks are adequate and that any disruption will be treated as a man-made issue.
