According to a media report dated January 22, the lineman, associated with Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN), died instantly due to electrocution on January 21. The NHRC has expressed concern over this incident, highlighting potential human rights violations if the reports are accurate. The commission is seeking a detailed response from the authorities involved.

Human Rights Concerns and Official Notices

The NHRC has requested information from both the Chairman of DHBVN and the Commissioner of Police in Gurugram. They are expected to provide a comprehensive report within two weeks. This report should cover the status of any First Information Report (FIR) filed and details about any compensation given to the victim's family.
