NEET UG 2024 Exam: Gujarat Police Books Teacher, 2 Others For Allegedly Helping Candidates, Recovers Rs 7 Lakh
The Gujarat Police has booked a school teacher, who was on duty at a center where the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Under Graduate Program (NEET UG Exam 2024) happened. Complaints against two others have also been lodged for allegedly helping 6 candidates appearing for the NEET-UG entrance exam for a sum of ₹ 10 lakh each.
According to police, the district collector received a tip-off that some officials were involved in malpractice, so he decided to raid the NEET UG exam center and expose the racket.

The booked persons were identified as Tushar Bhatt, a physics teacher and deputy superintendent of the exam at the center, and Parsuram Roy and Arif Vora, who have been booked in relation with NEET cheating and alleged paper leak. The police has also recovered Rs 7 lakh cash from them, which was taken as advance to help the candidates.
Reportedly, candidates were asked to leave the NEET-UG (National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (Undergraduate) difficult question blank and so that teachers could fill the right answers after the exam, the Police FIR said.
Earlier, some aspirants on social media platform X claimed that the NEET-UG 2024 exam was leaked hours before its scheduled time, however, the National Testing Agency (NTA) junked all the claims. NTA said that the exam was conducted successfully and all NEET UG paper leak reports doing round the internet are false.
However, the testing body agreed that some candidates who had opted for the Hindi medium received English question papers, which were rectified.
