Nagpur- Two Jet Airways air hostesses molested by drunk passenger

The accused Akash Gupta, was on a vacation to Goa, and on the return journey he had boarded the Jet Airways flight for Nagpur at Mumbai airport.

Nagpur, Feb 27: Two air hostesses of Jet Airways flight number 9S24460 registered a written complaint to the flight captain against passenger Akash Gupta, who was travelling on seat number 41E of molesting them. Gupta was on Mumbai-Nagpur flight on Saturday.

The accused had grabbed the hand of the two air hostesses when they were serving him his meal. The air hostesses had immediately informed other crew members about the incident and they tried to stop Gupta. But Gupta argued with crew members, so they informed the captain.

When the air hostesses registered a complaint against Gupta the flight captain, Gopalsingh Mohansingh informed the Central Industrial Security Force about the incident. Gupta who is from Balaghat, Madhya Pradesh was then handed over to CISF.

Gupta has been arrested and a case of outraging of modesty under Section 354 of the Indian Penal Code. The Police later interrogated him and on Sunday he was produced before the court which sent him to magisterial custody.

The accused was on a vacation to Goa and on return journey he had boarded the Jet Airways flight for Nagpur at Mumbai airport. The police said accused had probably consumed liquor in Mumbai.
