‘Naatu Naatu’ becomes ‘Modi Modi’ in BJP poll song in Karnataka
The BJP, which is leaving no stone unturned to woo the voters in Karnataka ahead of the assembly election, has come up with its own version of the Oscar Award-winning 'Naatu Naatu' song.
The BJP's version replaces 'Naatu Naatu' with 'Modi Modi' to highlight the contribution of its government to the people.

The track begins with a tea seller pasting Prime Minister Narendra Modi's poster in his shop and his customer questioning the reason behind this act. The 'chaiwala' tells him that he did it out of his respect following which the song begins.
Karnataka Minister Dr Sudhakar K shared the video on Twitter and wrote, "The efforts of our double engine @BJP4Karnataka government under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi who are working to bring the development festival in Karnataka to the people through a wonderful song @BJYM is commendable."
The song mentions various schemes rolled out by the BJP government. Notably, the projects that get mentioned in the song include Shivamogga airport, Bengaluru - Mysuru expressway and metro lines.
The culture of remixing hit songs have been part of Indian politics for decades now as it strikes the chord with the people. It may be recalled that 'Jai Ho' from Oscar Award-winning 'Slumdog Millionaire' was remixed by Congress in 2009 polls.
Also, the grand old party had used two songs from Yash's blockbuster 'KGF' series during Rahul Gandhi's 'Bharat Jodo Yatra'. Unfortunately, Gandhi and other leaders were booked for using the songs without permission.
They were booked under the provisions of Copyright Act, the Information Technology Act and the Indian Penal Code under sections 120b (for criminal conspiracy), 403 (for dishonest misappropriation of property), and 465 (for forgery), according to a report in PTI.
Karnataka will vote for 224 assembly constituency on May 10.
