Mumbai: Cop's son, five others thrash youth to death; incident caught on camera
Mumbai, Feb 18: A CCTV camera, installed at Malad in suburban Mumbai, captured a gruesome incident of youth being brutally thrashed by six men. The footage, being aired by private news channels, shows six men first involving into an altercation with the youth and his friend and then thrashed him.
The tragic incident took place late on Monday when Beg and his friend Shivanand Mishra were riding a bike when an altercation between two groups broke up. The duo were stopped by Amol Ghuge, son of a police constable, and his five friends and were attacked.
As per an NDTV report, "Reports say Afzal and his friend were riding a motorcycle when the attackers stopped them and an argument began. Amol Ghuge allegedly dragged Afzal off the bike and started hitting him. His friend reportedly managed to get away and drive off."
Ghuge and his friends thrashed Beg till he stopped moving. They also tried to run over Beg with one of their bikes.
Locals later found Beg and called the police, which took Beg to Shatabdi Hospital. He suffered multiple injuries on his head and face and died on Tuesday.
The police have arrested the accused and his five friends from Nashik, reports said. A case of murder has been registered against all six men.
