Hyderabad Man Allegedly Bites Off Woman's Finger During Monetary Dispute Argument

A 26-year-old man in Hyderabad allegedly bit off a woman's finger during an argument over money, according to police on Monday. The incident took place on May 17, and the man, who works at a private company, was arrested after the woman's daughter filed a complaint against him and his wife.

Monetary Dispute Leads to Finger Bite in Hyderabad

The couple had been tenants of the 45-year-old woman and her daughter but moved out in April, as stated by a police official from Madhura Nagar Police Station. The house owners owed the couple Rs 30,000 from a chit fund business. However, they planned to deduct Rs 5,000 because a previous tenant, known to the couple, had not paid rent.

Monetary Dispute Leads to Violence

After learning about the deduction, the couple visited the woman's house. A confrontation ensued, during which the man bit off part of the woman's finger. A portion of it fell to the ground during the altercation. The injured woman was taken to a hospital for treatment.

Doctors informed her that reattaching the severed part of her finger was not possible. Following this incident, her daughter lodged a complaint with the police against the couple. Subsequently, a case was registered, leading to the man's arrest and imprisonment.

The police continue to investigate the matter to gather more details about the events leading up to this violent encounter. The situation highlights ongoing issues related to financial disputes and their potential to escalate into physical confrontations.
