Moga: Woman gangraped by family friend and accomplices, police launch manhunt

Moga (Punjab), May 1: After a young woman was molested on a bus in Moga earlier this week, another case of gangrape has come from the region.

This time the woman, in her complaint, has alleged that she was abducted and raped by a family friend and his accomplices at a deserted place in the district on Thursday.

Police officials have begun the investigation and have launched a manhunt to nab the culprits.

This is the second such incident from the district this week. Earlier a woman and her daughter were allegedly molested on a bus and were thrown off the bus [Punjab: Molesters throw mother-daughter off bus, daughter dies]

The girl succumbed to her injuries while her mother is critically injured. Meanwhile, Punjab CM Parkash Singh Badal said that the incident took place in the bus belonging to his company.
