Modi may expand Cabinet in April
New Delhi, Feb 16:Sources in the Indian government hint at a possible expansion in April when 4 new people may be inducted. It is believed that members from the TRS government and few of Maharashtra's right wing party will be inducted into the Cabinet.
The first expansion took place in the month of November after Modi took over the role of Prime Minister in the month of May last year. A total of 21 new ministers were inducted and the Cabinet totalled to 26 cabinet ministers, 13 ministers of state (MoS) with independent charge and 26 other MoS, apart from the PM.

This could send a strong message to the non-performing ministers and an encouragement for ministers working sincerely. For instance, MoS for finance Jayanth Sinha may be goven additional charge of MoS corporate affairs. Shiv Sena nominee Anil Desai may also be inducted in the list of MoS.
Sena leaders, however, are hopeful of getting another berth too. "We hope to get two more ministers inducted," a senior Sena leader had said.
