Modi Accuses Congress of Communalism, Predicts End of INDIA Bloc

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during a rally in West Bengal's Jhargram, made a bold assertion regarding the outcome of the Lok Sabha elections' fifth phase. He claimed that the Congress and the INDIA bloc are on the verge of defeat, signaling the start of the opposition's disintegration. Modi criticized the Congress for its alleged communal stance, accusing it of planning to reallocate reservations meant for Scheduled Castes (SCs) and Scheduled Tribes (STs) to Muslims.

Modi: Congress Communal, INDIA Bloc to End

Modi's remarks came amidst the electoral fervor, as he stated, "After the fifth phase of polls, the TMC and the INDI alliance stand defeated. After June 4, when the results will be announced, the opposition bloc will cease to exist." He further accused the Congress of harboring a mindset akin to that of the Muslim League, intending to divert reservation benefits from SCs, STs, and Other Backward Classes (OBCs) to Muslims.

The Prime Minister referenced a controversial video involving a Congress leader to support his claims. "Many journalists asked me about Muslim reservation during my recent interviews, but see, Congress Shehzada himself is emphasizing it in his video," Modi remarked, highlighting a viral social media video where a Congress figure allegedly supports Muslim reservations.

Modi also criticized the INDIA bloc's stance on reservations based on religion, invoking Dr. B.R. Ambedkar's opposition to such measures. He questioned whether the electorate wished to see an end to their reservations, pointing out that in Karnataka, OBC reservations were extended to Muslims under Congress's governance.

Highlighting his government's achievements, Modi contrasted his administration's success in making India the world's fifth-largest economy and lifting 25 crore people out of poverty with Congress's historical slogan of "Garibi Hatao" (remove poverty). He emphasized India's progress under his leadership, including the removal of Article 370, combating terrorism in Kashmir, responding to Pakistan's actions, and curbing corruption.

The Prime Minister concluded his address virtually from Jhargram due to poor weather conditions preventing his chopper from landing at Tamluk as initially scheduled. His speech underscored his critique of the opposition's policies and celebrated his government's accomplishments ahead of the election results.
