Modi Announces Comprehensive Rs 13000 Crore Infrastructure Package To Boost Bihar's Development

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to announce a significant package for Bihar, focusing on health, power, urban development, infrastructure, and road construction. The projects, valued at Rs 13,000 crore, aim to boost the state's development. Among these initiatives is a six-lane bridge over the Ganga River, linking Patna with Begusarai. This bridge, costing Rs 1871 crore, stands out as Asia's widest at 34 metres.

Security measures have been heightened in Gaya ahead of the Prime Minister's visit. The Gaya airport has been designated a no-flying zone during this period to ensure safety. These precautions are part of the comprehensive arrangements made for the event.

Infrastructure and Transport Boost

The Prime Minister will also inaugurate new rail services to enhance connectivity in Bihar. The Amrit Bharat Express will link Gaya with New Delhi, while a Buddhist circuit train will operate between Vaishali and Koderma. Additionally, special passenger trains are planned for Diwali and Chhath festivals.

Recognising the NDA's challenges in the Magadh region during the 2020 Assembly elections, where JD(U) failed to secure any of the 26 seats across five districts, Modi plans to address a public rally at Magadh University in Gaya. This move aims to strengthen support in central Bihar.
