Manipur: 3 Women And 3 Children Go Missing In Jiribam After Violent Clash
Three women and three children have gone missing from Jiribam in Manipur following a clash between Kuki insurgents and security forces. According to the reports, the incident occurred near the Assam border, and authorities are actively searching for the missing individuals.
The Manipur Police reported that 10 people were killed in the encounter. They had enough weapons to cause significant disruption in Jiribam. Security forces, including the Assam Rifles, Border Security Force, and Central Reserve Police Force, are involved in the search operation.

Search Operation Intensifies
A senior police officer stated that if fired upon, these forces will retaliate. The officer also mentioned that 13 internally displaced persons were initially reported missing from Jiribam. Out of these, two have been found dead, five have been located, and six remain unaccounted for.
The deceased were identified as two elderly individuals from the Meitei community. Their bodies were discovered inside a building set ablaze by militants. The situation has heightened tensions in the region as efforts continue to locate the remaining missing persons.
Authorities are working tirelessly to ensure the safety of those still missing. The ongoing operation underscores the challenges faced by security personnel in maintaining peace and order amid such conflicts.
