New Delhi, Nov 21: As controversies galore about a young reporter in Tehelka sexual assaulted by the editor of the magazine, Tarun Tejpal, a member of National commission for Women Shamina Shafiq said on Thursday that the organisation has not received any complaint from the victim yet.

"NCW need to assess the case before taking any action,"said Shamina to Times Now. "The procedures in the cases of sexual harassment are well laid out, we will look into it", she said.

Media community shocked

Meanwhile, the incident has shocked the entire media community.

Former editor-in-chief of The Hindu and senior journalist Siddharth Zaradarajan told the media that Tejpal must be held acciountable. The case is very serious, he responded.

"Deeply shocked, saddened,horrified at what happened at Tehelka. Tarun's been a friend for years, suddenly seems like a stranger..why, Tarun?" - This was the reaction of Sagharika Ghose on Twitter.

Writer Meenakhi Reddy Madhavan's twitter post read, "And if it's your editor, a father figure you admire, that's even worse. Shame on you, Tarun Tejpal. You did a bad bad thing".
