Video: Manmohan Singh's security guard abused, slapped for doing his duty
New Delhi, July 13: Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's security guard has been slapped in front of many other police officials. A woman, who seems to be a Turkish woman, harassed the guard for nothing but doing his duty.
The video shocked many as the woman was seen slapping the security guard who had stopped her from entering a building following security reasons.
It has been reported that the woman had come to attend a book launch event in Delhi. The former prime minister was a member of the panel discussion during the book launch.
The video was shot by Press Trust of India photographer Vijay Verma. In the video, the woman was seen arguing with the guard asserting that she should be allowed to go inside as she had registered for the event.
After waiting for a while, she was furious as she did not receive any response from the guard and slapped him in front of other Delhi Police officials, who, however, did not take any action against the woman.
The PTI photographer later was quoted as saying, "She threatened to slap the policeman and then did it also. Sadly although it happened in front of other policemen, they did nothing."
