Man Allegedly Kills Sister Following Rakhi Celebrations Over Her Relationship in Jhansi

A man allegedly killed his sister after celebrating Raksha Bandhan, police reported on Sunday. The incident occurred in the Garautha area. Kumari Sahodar, also known as Putti, was found dead with a shaved head near Dada Maharaj platform in Chandrapura village. Her brother, Arvind, and his friend, Prakash Prajapati, both around 25 years old, have been detained in connection with the murder.

Putti's murder followed another tragic event involving her lover. On August 7, Vishal, a 19-year-old from Lahchura, was found dead in Gudha village. Police revealed that four months prior, Putti and Vishal had eloped but were convinced to return home. A mutual agreement between their families temporarily eased tensions.

Family Dispute Leads to Tragedy

Despite the settlement, Putti and Vishal resumed their relationship. This rekindling displeased Arvind, who had recently returned from Pune. According to police, he conspired with Prakash Prajapati to eliminate both lovers. On August 7, they lured Vishal away under the guise of offering him a job and subsequently killed him.

Vishal's father, Halkeram, filed a complaint leading to Arvind and Prakash being charged with murder. While investigations into Vishal's death were ongoing, Arvind allegedly took Putti out under the pretext of getting her medicine and killed her as well.

The police are actively investigating both murders. The involvement of Arvind and Prakash has been confirmed through preliminary findings. Authorities are piecing together evidence to build a strong case against the accused. The community remains shocked by the brutal nature of these crimes.
