Mahakumbh: Uttar Pradesh Minister AK Sharma Inspects Ghats Ahead Of Mauni Amavasya, Shares Tips For Devotees
Uttar Pradesh Minister AK Sharma on Tuesday visited Ganga Ghats at Arail Ghat in Prayagraj, ahead of Mauni Amawasya. The minister took cognizance of the preparations made by the authorities at bathing ghats for devotees. According to the reports, more than 10 crore footfall is expected on Mauni Amavasya.
Talking to the media, AK Sharma said, " We are expecting 10-12 crore people in Prayagraj tomorrow. We have made all arrangements including a traffic management system, AI-enabled cameras, water ATMs, clean toilets etc. The pilgrims must remember where they have parked their vehicles, then find out the ghat nearest to them and remain together as a group."

Sharma has been deployed by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to monitor arrangements at Kumbh and direct officials if anything is needed.
The UP Minister also visited Prayagraj last week. At that time, he directed officials to make proper arrangements for traffic management and crowd control and utilize technology to ensure a smooth experience for all the devotees.
Mauni Amavasya is a significant event in India that has attracted millions of devotees. It is known for its spiritual importance and the practice of silence. The event takes place at Triveni Sangam, where three rivers meet. This location holds great religious significance for many people. The Maha Kumbh Mela is a major religious festival held every 12 years in India.
It is one of the largest gatherings of people in the world. Devotees come to take a holy dip in the river, seeking spiritual cleansing and blessings.
