Lucknow resident who accused UP CM's principal secy of demanding bribe arrested

Abhishek Gupta, a resident of Lucknow, has alleged that Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's Principal Secretary, SP Goyal, demanded a bribe of Rs 25 lakh over setting up of a petrol pump. Gupta reportedly approached the authorities to lodge a complaint.

"First he demanded it indirectly, later asked for Rs 25 lakh," ANI quoted Gupta as saying.

The BJP has filed an FIR against Gupta. The BJP's complaint claims that Gupta not used the names of several party leaders to get the work done, but also projected himself as a leader of the saffron party.

As per latest reports, Gupta has been arrested following BJP's FIR.
