Lucknow Bank Robbery: Investigation Underway After Lockers at IOC Branch Are Broken Into
Police reported that several lockers at the Indian Overseas Bank's Chinhat branch were discovered broken on Sunday, with their contents missing. The branch is situated in Lucknow's Matiyari area. According to the bank manager, it is suspected that the thieves entered by creating a hole in a wall shared with an adjacent empty plot.

Initial investigations suggest that four individuals might have been involved in the theft. To apprehend the culprits, six police teams have been assembled. Despite the absence of an alarm or security guard during the incident, the bank maintains that adequate security measures were in place.
Bank's Response and Security Measures
The Indian Overseas Bank acknowledged the robbery at its Chinhat branch, stating it occurred despite existing security protocols. "Indian Overseas Bank IOB is aware of the unfortunate incident involving a robbery which occurred despite adequate security measures at our Chinhat Branch in Lucknow," said the bank in a statement.
The bank assured that it is actively cooperating with local law enforcement to expedite the investigation. "We are fully committed to supporting the authorities in their investigation and are working closely with local law enforcement agencies to ensure that the matter is resolved swiftly," they added.

The bank confirmed having insurance coverage for such incidents, ensuring customers that their assets' safety remains a priority. "The safety and security of our customers and their assets remain our top priority," the statement further mentioned.
